Software Development

Requirements:

  • Strong background on database development with a minimum of 5-years experience
  • Understanding OLTP vs OLAP, especially conceptual & logical data modeling on each side, 3NF vs Star Schema and normalization process with Armstrong Axiom’s rule (Relational Algebra)
  • Extensive hands-on experience in database performance tuning with execution plan and profiling blocking issue on locks
  • Ability to deal with complex queries, recursion with CTE, Set operators (emphasizing on division operator) and Window Functions
  • Handling with high volume of transaction management with multi-threaded environment
  • Understanding ACID property correctly and different isolation levels with pessimistic & optimistic locks
  • 2PL Strict or Rigorous Schedule on conventional RDBMS vs MVCC on cloud-based database
  • Resolving deadlock issue with the best practice
  • Understanding Row store vs Column store and their pros & cons (NSM, DSM & PAX)
  • Acknowledging Data Warehousing methodology, Inmon, Kimball and Data Vault 2.0 and their pros & cons
  • Trending along with Data Lake, Data Hub, Data Mesh and Lakehouse and their pros & cons
  • Differentiating State Based vs Migration Based database migration approach with full CI/CD automation process
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the following RDBMS: Oracle, MSSQL, Postgres, MySQL or Sybase
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the following No-SQLs: HBase, Dynamo, CouchDB, MongoDB, Cassandra or Cosmos
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the following cloud-native data warehouses: Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse or Snowflake
  • Hands-on experience of building data pipeline on at least one of the following cloud platforms: AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Python is preferable

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own development, programming, testing and launch of all web assets including, but not limited to websites, apps, portals and other technology. Ensure our digital offerings have compelling designs, clear navigation, useful content and value-added tools.
  • Design, code and modify websites, from layout to function in accordance with a client or stakeholders specifications and user experience goals.
  • Gather, analyze and document functional and technical requirements for new projects, enhancements and production issues.
  • Implement responsive web applications and services, using programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery.
  • Participate in all phases of software development life cycle including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment and support. Create and execute unit, integration and user acceptance test plans, including use cases and test data.
  • Write functional requirement documents and specifications. Create and maintain technical documentation for all projects. Create quality mockups and prototypes.
  • Develop high-quality and scalable application logic.
  • Review app and feature coding, strategically plan future website upgrades with the development team.
  • Work with back-end and integration developers to ensure comprehensive builds.
  • Translate functions, features and requirements into strong user experiences. Collaborate well with colleagues to create and present wireframes and prototypes for input and ensure proper review and testing to achieve the experience goals.
  • Maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the product’s interface.
  • Create cascading style sheets (CSS) that are consistent across all browsers and platforms.
  • Stay on top of emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to web initiatives. Ensure web assets are well maintained, scalable and kept ahead of trends. promote usability best practices.
  • Operate and leverage Agile and Scrum methodologies

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years as a Web Developer
  • Demonstrated expertise with JavaScript, Angular, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, and CSS3
  • Demonstrated expertise with SQL Server, Transact SQL and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), XML, MySQL, PostgresSQL, and Informatica.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Java and C#
  • Demonstrated experience with UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
  • Experience with WordPress, Kentico, or similar Content Management Systems.
  • Experience editing/developing themes for Content Management Systems.
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST/SOAP) and API's required.
  • E-Commerce experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and Communities preferred
  • Experience with marketing automation systems such as Marketing Cloud, Marketo or Eloqua a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to drive to deadlines, while successfully balancing multiple priorities.

Position Responsibilities:

Duties will include the development and implementation of the new system, ongoing daily support and maintenance, enhancements of the internal Salesforce instance, development of new features, functions and external services integrations, and the continuous improvement in operations to ensure compatibility with evolving business requirements.
