Software Development

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own development, programming, testing and launch of all web assets including, but not limited to websites, apps, portals and other technology. Ensure our digital offerings have compelling designs, clear navigation, useful content and value-added tools.
  • Design, code and modify websites, from layout to function in accordance with a client or stakeholders specifications and user experience goals.
  • Gather, analyze and document functional and technical requirements for new projects, enhancements and production issues.
  • Implement responsive web applications and services, using programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery.
  • Participate in all phases of software development life cycle including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment and support. Create and execute unit, integration and user acceptance test plans, including use cases and test data.
  • Write functional requirement documents and specifications. Create and maintain technical documentation for all projects. Create quality mockups and prototypes.
  • Develop high-quality and scalable application logic.
  • Review app and feature coding, strategically plan future website upgrades with the development team.
  • Work with back-end and integration developers to ensure comprehensive builds.
  • Translate functions, features and requirements into strong user experiences. Collaborate well with colleagues to create and present wireframes and prototypes for input and ensure proper review and testing to achieve the experience goals.
  • Maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the product’s interface.
  • Create cascading style sheets (CSS) that are consistent across all browsers and platforms.
  • Stay on top of emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to web initiatives. Ensure web assets are well maintained, scalable and kept ahead of trends. promote usability best practices.
  • Operate and leverage Agile and Scrum methodologies

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years as a Web Developer
  • Demonstrated expertise with JavaScript, Angular, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, and CSS3
  • Demonstrated expertise with SQL Server, Transact SQL and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), XML, MySQL, PostgresSQL, and Informatica.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Java and C#
  • Demonstrated experience with UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
  • Experience with WordPress, Kentico, or similar Content Management Systems.
  • Experience editing/developing themes for Content Management Systems.
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST/SOAP) and API's required.
  • E-Commerce experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and Communities preferred
  • Experience with marketing automation systems such as Marketing Cloud, Marketo or Eloqua a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to drive to deadlines, while successfully balancing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and insights to inform projects.
  • Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to applications.

Position Responsibilities:

Duties will include the development and implementation of the new system, ongoing daily support and maintenance, enhancements of the internal Salesforce instance, development of new features, functions and external services integrations, and the continuous improvement in operations to ensure compatibility with evolving business requirements. In this role you will communicate with managers, end-users, and other IT teams to design cohesive project strategies and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing and deployment. Duties may include development using APEX for new system and ongoing enhancements. We operate in a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing business objectives and growth.

  • Provide system administration support of internal and customer-facing Salesforce environment, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects and workflow.
  • Perform development tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with various internal business departments, including marketing, product development and operations, to ensure Salesforce environment supports internal needs relating to functionality and performance.
  • Create and manage custom objects, fields, formulas, analytic snapshots and reports.
  • Develop and maintain validation rules and custom workflow.
  • Coordinate and support third party Apps (Conga, DocuSign, etc.) integration and upgrades.
  • Support the team with validation and testing of new features and functions.
  • Manage accounts and profiles within Salesforce.
  • Perform development tasks, documentation, testing and release packaging, validation.

Seeking an experienced Administrator with exposure to custom development within the Salesforce platform. If you are a Salesforce professional who has worked as an Administrator and performed lower to mid-level development with the intentions of growing into a senior developer role, then this opportunity will allow to achieve that goal.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Salesforce Administrator with 2+ years junior to mid-level development experience.
  • Proficient with Salesforce Lightning Service Cloud Unlimited, In-Box, Partner Communities, and third party application integrations.
  • Development of custom objects within Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience with CRM applications and database-driven applications in financial services.
  • A proven track record within sales operations, data management and salesforce administrative support is required.
  • Provides system administration support of internal and customer-facing Salesforce environment, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects and workflow.
  • Knowledge of MSSQL, EXCEL, JSON, ETL, APIs & Connectors to SF, knowledge of Web Services, testing tools and environments, release processes and management.
  • Possess both technical and analytical/functional skills, i.e. capable of interpreting business requirements to technical application. Produces systems and workflow diagrams.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication, effective listening and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with product design, integrated testing, migrations and implementation/release processes.
  • Experience creating custom reports and dashboards within Salesforce platform.
  • Experience working in Agile Methodology.
  • Exposure / Experience with Visualforce, Force.com, third party integrations, telephony integration, API gateway integrations, and import / export to databases a plus.
  • APEX knowledge required.
  • Familiarity with direct marketing strategy, analytics, database structures and technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with BitBucket, Jira, Gitlab, TFS preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent working experience.
